About Serpward
Serpward monitors Google results for a brand and gets the pages that should not be there removed.
What it does
A brand's queries are re-run against Google on a schedule — separately for each country, each language, and for phone and desktop, because each combination returns a different page. Every unauthorised page that appears is captured before anything is sent: a screenshot as it looked, the passages matching the client's material, a check for cloaking, and the time that ties them together. A takedown notice then goes out with that evidence attached, and the position is re-checked afterwards, so a page that comes back is found again.
Who it is for
People who own a brand and do not have a legal department or a six-figure anti-piracy budget. If you have both, this is already handled inside your company and you do not need us.
The pages we deal with are the ordinary ones: copies of a product sold under the brand's name, affiliates ranking above the brand on its own name, pages injected into hacked sites, and pages that show the search engine one thing and the visitor another.
How we work
Three things decide whether this works at all, and they are the three we spend our time on.
- Evidence first. A notice without evidence is refused, and a page removed later cannot be captured afterwards. The record is made at the moment the page is found, not when the complaint is written.
- Per market, not in general. A page that ranks in one country only is invisible from anywhere else. Monitoring is set per country, language and device for that reason.
- The discrepancy is the claim. When a page shows the crawler one thing and the reviewer another, that difference is not an obstacle to the complaint — recorded properly, it is the complaint.
What we do not do
- We do not promise removal. Whether a page comes down is decided by hosts, platforms and search engines, not by us. What we control is that the notice arrives complete and on time.
- We do not do SEO. We do not build links, write content for rankings or promise positions. Our work ends where someone else's page comes down.
- We do not report pages that belong to you or to partners you have licensed. You say what is yours before monitoring starts, and those are never touched, however often they appear.
