A cloaked page shows the reviewer nothing. It is opened both ways here.
Some affiliates show the search engine one page and the visitor another: the listing promises your material, the link opens something harmless, and the notice is closed as mistaken. Serpward opens every page it finds the way a crawler does and the way a visitor does, and records where the two disagree.
The page that defeats a normal notice
A partner outside the terms rarely leaves the evidence in plain sight. The version of the page that ranks — with your name, your text, your offer — is served to the search crawler. The version a person sees when they click, or when a reviewer opens the link from a notice, is something else: a redirect, a blank page, a page in another language. From where the reviewer sits, the complaint describes a page that does not exist.
The only answer is to record both versions at the same moment, from the same address, and to put the discrepancy into the notice before the reader opens the link. That is what de-cloaking means here: not guessing what a page hides, but showing it.
Four steps, repeated on a schedule
You say what to protect, and where
The searches people use to find you, and the markets that matter: country, language, and whether the search happens on a phone or a desktop. You also say what is yours — your domains and your licensed partners. Those are never reported.
The results are collected again and again
Each search is re-run on its own schedule. A single snapshot tells you little: pages appear, drop and come back under a new address, and that movement is the thing worth watching.
Every page is recorded before anything is sent
The page is opened and captured: a screenshot as it appeared, the passages that match your material, and a check for content shown to the search engine but withheld from the visitor. This happens first, because a page removed later cannot be captured afterwards.
The notice goes out, and the position is checked again
A takedown notice is filed with the exact locations and links to the captured evidence, submitted through a real browser. Filing is not the outcome; removal is, so the search keeps running.
A notice without evidence is a notice that gets refused
Most takedown attempts fail quietly: a form is filled in, a URL is pasted, nothing is attached. The person reading it cannot see what was on the page, cannot tell which part of it is yours, and has no way to confirm the page is still there. A claim that takes work to verify is the one that gets refused.
Every notice filed here carries the captured result, the passages that match your material, and the time both were recorded.

Cloaking is set per market, and so is the check
A cloaked page is usually built for one country and one language, and often served differently on phones. Each combination of country, language and device is watched and captured separately.
Country
The results in Germany are not the results in Kazakhstan. Each country is watched on its own.
Language
The same country returns different pages in different languages.
Device
A page that ranks on a phone may be absent on a desktop. Both are checked.
Over time
Positions are kept, not just noted: when a page appeared, how long it held, whether it came back.
You need this if any of the following is true
You reported a page and were told it was empty
There was. It was shown to the crawler and withheld from whoever opened the link.
A listing promises your material, the page does not
The result says one thing; the page behind it says another, depending on who is asking.
Partners redirect visitors somewhere you cannot see
The click goes through a page that exists only for the search engine.
You need the discrepancy on record, not in a complaint
Both versions, captured at the same time, from the same address — attached to the notice.
Your checks are made from one desk
A cloaked page in another market looks perfectly innocent from yours.
The number comes after the first search, not before it
There is no self-serve plan. What the work costs depends on how many queries and markets need watching and how much is already out there — and neither of us knows that until we look. The first search costs you nothing.
What exactly is recorded for a cloaked page?
The page as the crawler receives it, the page as a visitor receives it, the fact that both came from the same address at the same moment — plus the screenshot, the matching passages, the query and market, and the time.
Is every page checked for cloaking, or only suspicious ones?
Every page found in the results, at the moment it is found. Most will not be cloaked, and the two captures will agree. The ones that do not agree are exactly the ones that would otherwise be reported, refused and forgotten.
Do you de-cloak affiliate links in the ads?
No. Organic results only. Paid placements are not covered.
Can you de-cloak a page that is not ranking?
No. The check is part of monitoring the search results: a page is opened both ways because it was found there. Pages that do not rank on your queries are not examined.
Does the record make the host remove the page?
Removal is the host’s decision. What the record does is get the notice read: a reader shown both versions side by side understands what happened. Afterwards the search keeps running.
