Overview
What Serpward does, what you provide, and where each part of the work lives in the client area — a two-minute orientation before the detailed guides.
Serpward watches Google search results for your brand, records every unauthorised page it finds, and files takedown notices with that record attached. This section explains how the client area is organised and what each guide covers.
What you provide
Three lists, nothing else. Everything is done from the outside, from the search results; nothing connects to your website, analytics or affiliate platform.
- Queries. The searches people use to find you, and the markets that matter: country, language, and whether the search happens on a phone or a desktop. Each combination is a separate watch.
- What is yours. Your own domains and every partner licensed to carry your material. Anything on this list is never reported, however often it appears. This is the whitelist.
- Contacts for notices. Who the notice is filed on behalf of: the copyright owner, an address for replies. Notices are not sent until this is filled in.
The loop
- Collect. Each query is re-run on its own schedule, per market. Results are stored as snapshots, so positions can be compared over time.
- Record. Every page in the results that is not on your list is singled out and tracked: when it appeared, whether it holds, when it goes. When notices are enabled, the page is captured with evidence before anything is sent.
- File. A takedown notice goes out with the evidence attached, submitted through a real browser.
- Re-check. The query keeps running. A page that is removed and returns under a new address is found again.
Where things are
| Section | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Home | Unauthorised links right now, notices this week, last and next collection, a row per project — and a list of what is worth finishing in the setup. |
| Projects | One project per brand. Inside: Overview, SERP, Queries, Notice settings, Notice queue, Analytics, Whitelist. |
| Analytics | The dashboard: what ranks now, how the count moved day by day, the state of each page, notices sent, an estimate of the traffic those pages take. |
| Takedowns | The sending queue across projects: what goes next, when, and what is waiting out the delay. |
| Profile | Language, theme, password. |
Where to go next
New account: Setting up a project walks through the setup wizard. Already running: Queries and markets, Link statuses, Evidence and Notices explain what you are looking at.
