# Serpward > Serpward watches Google results for a brand — in every country, language and device it sells in — records each unauthorised page it finds, checks that page for cloaking, and files the takedown with the evidence attached. Serpward is a search-result monitoring and takedown service for brand owners. It is aimed at people who do not have a legal department or a dedicated anti-piracy budget. Contact: sales@serpward.com. ## How it works - Watch: the brand's queries are re-run against Google on a schedule, separately for each country, language and device, because each combination returns a different result page. - Record: every unauthorised page is captured before anything is sent — a screenshot, the passages that match the client's material, a check for cloaking, and the time that ties them together. - File: a takedown notice goes out with that evidence attached, and the position is re-checked afterwards, so a page that comes back is found again. ## Free tools - [Cloaking checker](https://serpward.com/check/): opens a page as a regular visitor, as a visitor arriving from Google, as a search engine crawler and from Google's own network, then compares what each one was shown. No sign-up. - [How to view a page as Googlebot](https://serpward.com/view-page-as-googlebot/): four ways to see a page the way the crawler does, what each one proves, and the one thing nobody outside Google can do. ## Journal - [What is cloaking in SEO](https://serpward.com/journal/what-is-cloaking-in-seo/): A page is allowed to answer two requests differently. Cloaking is using that freedom to show the search engine one page and the person who clicks another. - [Google and cloaking](https://serpward.com/journal/google-and-cloaking/): Google names cloaking in its spam policies and treats it as deception rather than a technical error. What that means in practice for the site doing it, and for the brand it is done to. - [Website cloaking, switch by switch](https://serpward.com/journal/website-cloaking/): Every form of cloaking comes down to one decision made on the server: which visitor is this. Five things it can look at, and what each one takes to detect. - [Why takedown notices fail quietly, and what a notice has to carry](https://serpward.com/journal/why-takedown-notices-fail-quietly/): Most rejected notices are not refused. They are simply never answered. The difference between the two is what was attached, and it can be listed. - [One query, a different result page in every market](https://serpward.com/journal/one-query-a-different-page-in-every-market/): A search made in Berlin on a phone and the same search made in Almaty on a desktop are two different documents. Checking one of them says nothing about the other. - [Cloaking: the page that shows the reviewer nothing](https://serpward.com/journal/cloaking-the-page-that-shows-the-reviewer-nothing/): You report a page and are told there was nothing on it. There was. It was shown to the search engine and withheld from you, and the notice was closed as mistaken. - [Capture first, file later](https://serpward.com/journal/capture-first-file-later/): Evidence is usually gathered when someone sits down to write the notice. By then the page has had days to change. The capture belongs at the moment the page is found. - [What an affiliate platform cannot see](https://serpward.com/journal/what-an-affiliate-platform-cannot-see/): The platform knows what a partner sent and what they were paid. It does not know what their page said, where it ranked, or whether it stood above you on your own name. ## Documentation - [Overview](https://serpward.com/docs/overview/): What Serpward does, what you provide, and where each part of the work lives in the client area — a two-minute orientation before the detailed guides. - [Setting up a project](https://serpward.com/docs/setup/): The setup wizard step by step: project and brand, contacts, collection, whitelist, evidence, notice settings, queries — and what happens if a step is skipped. - [Queries and markets](https://serpward.com/docs/queries-and-markets/): A query is a search plus a market — country, language, device — watched separately. How to add queries, set volumes, switch them off and read the SERP tab. - [Link statuses](https://serpward.com/docs/link-statuses/): What makes a page unauthorised, what active, resolved and reappeared mean, how the whitelist changes them, and what the numbers on the home page count. - [Evidence](https://serpward.com/docs/evidence/): What is captured for each page before a notice is filed — screenshot, matching passages, query and market, time, cloaking check — and how the settings shape it. - [Notices](https://serpward.com/docs/notices/): How takedown notices are queued, timed and sent, what the notice settings control, what the queue statuses mean, and what happens after a notice goes out. - [Your account](https://serpward.com/docs/account/): Signing in, recovering a password, and the profile page — interface language, light or dark theme, changing the password — and the three areas of Serpward. ## What it is used for - [Parasite SEO removal](https://serpward.com/parasite-seo/): Parasite SEO puts someone else’s page on your brand terms. Serpward finds those pages across the countries, languages and devices you sell in, records the evidence and files for removal. - [Affiliate compliance](https://serpward.com/affiliate-compliance/): Affiliate compliance means knowing who actually ranks on your brand. Serpward watches the results in every market you sell in, separates your licensed partners from everyone else, and records what the rest are doing. - [For iGaming operators](https://serpward.com/igaming/): In iGaming, affiliates carry the traffic by design — and often the brand search too. Serpward watches who ranks on an operator’s own name, market by market, and files to have the pages that should not be there removed. - [Affiliate enforcement](https://serpward.com/affiliate-enforcement/): Affiliate enforcement built on evidence: a partner outside the terms is recorded as the results showed it, and the notice goes out with that record attached. - [Affiliate monitoring](https://serpward.com/affiliate-monitoring/): Affiliate monitoring from the search results: which partners rank on your brand, in which market, and what their page said — recorded before a notice is filed. - [Brand bidding monitoring](https://serpward.com/brand-bidding/): Brand bidding beyond the ads: who ranks on your brand in organic results, per market, with evidence recorded and notices filed. Paid placements not covered. - [Alternatives](https://serpward.com/alternatives/): Serpward as an alternative to brand-bidding and affiliate-monitoring tools: what it does and does not do, vendor by vendor, without claims about anyone else. - [Brand SERP monitoring](https://serpward.com/brand-serp/): Brand SERP monitoring: what the result page for your brand shows in each country, language and device, which pages are not yours, and what is done about them. - [Ad hijacking: the organic side](https://serpward.com/ad-hijacking/): Ad hijacking has an organic twin: a copy of your page ranking on your brand name. Serpward watches that side, records it with evidence and files to remove it. - [Affiliate de-cloaking](https://serpward.com/affiliate-decloaking/): Affiliate de-cloaking in organic results: each page on your brand is requested as a crawler and as a browser, the two compared, and the verdict recorded. - [Trademark monitoring in search results](https://serpward.com/trademark-monitoring/): Trademark monitoring where it shows: who ranks on your mark in organic results per market, recorded with evidence, takedown notices filed. Not legal advice. - [Anti-piracy for search results](https://serpward.com/anti-piracy/): Anti-piracy where the pirate is found: pages republishing your material and ranking on your name, per market, recorded with evidence and filed for removal. - [DMCA takedown service](https://serpward.com/dmca-takedown-service/): A DMCA takedown service that starts from the results: pages ranking on your name are recorded with evidence, and the notice is filed with that record attached. - [Brand bidding monitoring tools](https://serpward.com/brand-bidding-monitoring-tools/): Brand bidding monitoring tools compared by what they say about themselves: ads or organic results, evidence, filing, price. A way to choose, not a top ten. ## Machine access There is no public API and no MCP server yet. If you need programmatic access to the monitoring or to the cloaking check, write to sales@serpward.com and say what you need it for.
