Parasite SEO puts a stranger’s page where yours should be

A page on a borrowed domain ranks for your own name, takes the visitor, and hands them someone else’s offer. Serpward finds those pages in the markets you sell in, records what they are doing, and files to have them removed.

See what ranks for your brand

The problem

The visit is not lost. It is intercepted.

Parasite SEO works by borrowing authority. A page goes up on a domain that already ranks — a forum, a news site, a marketplace, a subdomain rented for the purpose — and it is written to answer the searches people use to find you.
From where you sit, nothing looks broken. Your site still ranks. Your own pages are still there. The search simply resolves somewhere else first, and by the time the person reaches you, they have already been handed a different offer — or have stopped looking.

Method

Four steps, repeated for as long as the brand needs watching

01

You say what to protect, and where

The searches people use to find you, and the markets that matter: country, language, and whether the search happens on a phone or a desktop. You also say what is yours — your domains and your licensed partners. Those are never reported, however often they appear.

02

The results are collected again and again

Each search is re-run on its own schedule. A single snapshot tells you little: parasite pages appear, drop and come back under a new address, and that movement is the thing worth watching.

03

Every page is recorded before anything is sent

The page is opened and captured: a screenshot as it appeared, the passages that match your material, and a check for content shown to the search engine but withheld from the visitor. This happens first, because a page removed later cannot be captured afterwards.

04

The notice goes out, and the position is checked again

A takedown notice is filed with the exact locations and links to the captured evidence, submitted through a real browser rather than an interface that no longer accepts machines. Filing is not the outcome; removal is, so the search keeps running.

Evidence

A notice without evidence is a notice that gets refused

Most takedown attempts fail quietly: a form is filled in, a URL is pasted, nothing is attached. The person reading it cannot see what was on the page, cannot tell which part of it is yours, and has no way to confirm the page is still there. A claim that takes work to verify is the one that gets refused.
Every notice filed here carries the captured result, the passages that match your material, and the time both were recorded.

Coverage

The same search is a different page in every market

A parasite page rarely ranks everywhere. It ranks in one country, in one language, often only on phones — which is exactly why it goes unnoticed from an office in another country. Monitoring is set per combination, not per keyword.

Country

The results in Germany are not the results in Kazakhstan. Each country is watched separately.

Language

The same country returns different pages in different languages, and parasite pages are usually written for one of them.

Device

A page that ranks on a phone may be absent on a desktop. Both are checked.

Over time

Positions are kept, not just noted: what appeared, what held, what came back after removal.

Who it is for

You need this if any of the following is true

Your name returns pages you do not own

Searches for your brand bring back forums, review sites and landing pages you have never approved.

Your material is republished elsewhere

Your text, images or product pages appear on domains you have never heard of, ranking on your terms.

You are paying for traffic you already had

Partners deliver visitors who were searching for you by name — traffic that would have arrived anyway.

You sell in several countries

What ranks in one market says nothing about the others, and no one on the team is watching all of them.

The page shows the reviewer nothing

You have reported a page, been told there was no infringement on it, and suspected the page shows one thing to the search engine and another to whoever opens it.

You have no legal department

There is no one whose job is to file notices, follow them up, and check whether the page came back.

Pricing

The number comes after the first search, not before it

There is no self-serve plan. What the work costs depends on how many queries and markets need watching and how much is already out there — and neither of us knows that until we look. The first search costs you nothing.

Questions

What is parasite SEO?

Publishing a page on a domain that already ranks well, so that it inherits that domain’s standing and reaches the top of the results faster than a new site could. When the page targets someone else’s brand, the brand owner loses the visit.

Is that the same as brandjacking?

They overlap. Brandjacking is the broader word for using someone else’s brand to take their traffic; parasite SEO is one of the ways it is done in organic search.

How long does removal take?

It depends on who is hosting the page and how the notice is handled at their end. What can be said honestly is that a notice with evidence attached is answered, and one without it is often not answered at all.

What if the page is not removed?

The search keeps running and the page stays on the list with its position. Where a page comes back under a new address, it is found again as a new page — that is the point of watching rather than sweeping once.

Do you need access to my site?

No. Everything here is done from the outside, from the search results themselves. What is needed from you is the list of what to protect and which markets matter.

What stops you from reporting my own partners?

You list your domains and the partners licensed to carry your material. Those are excluded before anything is filed, however often they appear in the results.
